Construction Update: Martin Luther King, Jr. At Promise Center

Carter started construction on the 4th At Promise Center in Atlanta in June 2024.

UNDER CONSTRUCTION - Atlanta, Georgia

Carter has partnered with the Atlanta Police Foundation to build each At-Promise Youth and Community Center, which serve as diversion and support centers for Atlanta’s at-risk youth. Carter has served as pro bono project manager for Atlanta’s three existing At-Promise Centers: the first center in historic English Avenue (completed 2017), a second center in the Pittsburgh Community (completed 2020), and the third center located on Campbellton Road in the Young Family YMCA complex (completed 2021). The fourth center is located on Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive and will open in 2026.

We are proud to support the At-Promise Center’s vision, whose purpose is to reduce youth crime by providing customized social services, including therapy, counseling, mentoring, tutoring and enrichment programs to youth whose missteps have exposed them to the juvenile justice system. At-Promise seeks to divert them to a pathway to productive lives, away from recidivism. All facilities are state-of-the-art spaces with specialized services for youth that also include meeting and service spaces for residents of surrounding communities.

The 4th At Promise Youth and Community Center is currently under construction and will open in 2026. ASD|SKY is the architect and Brasfield & Gorrie is the general contractor.
