At-Promise Youth and Community Centers
Carter and Atlanta Police Foundation completed Atlanta’s first At-Promise Youth & Community Center in historic English Avenue in 2017 and a second location in the Pittsburgh neighborhood of Atlanta in Spring 2021. The second center is now open.
Carter has served as pro bono project manager for both of the existing centers and will continue its work on the third center on Campbellton Road. We are proud to support the At-Promise Center’s vision, whose purpose is to reduce youth crime by providing customized social services, including therapy, counseling, mentoring, tutoring and enrichment programs to youth whose transgressions have exposed them to the juvenile justice system. At-Promise seeks to divert them to a pathway to productive lives, away from recidivism. APF has raised more than $7 million in its current capital campaign earmarked for the At-Promise Initiative.
All facilities are state-of-the-art spaces with specialized services for youth and residents of the community.
