Tim Farley’s Son Beats the Odds, Finishes Third on Jeopardy

We are very proud of our son John as he was one of 15 kids selected to be on Jeopardy out of 10,000 who tried out online. John's grandfather, who watches Jeopardy every night, suggested he try out after watching him do very well playing at home.

At my father-in-law’s urging, we looked into entering online. After filing out an application, John was contacted by Jeopardy and asked to participate in an online test. After the test, he was invited to a local casting call where he competed against hundreds of other kids from the southeast.

JeopardyTwo weeks before filming, my wife got a call letting us know John had been selected and would need to fly to Los Angeles to compete.

John stayed in the game the entire time and finished with a flurry by answering the last 4-5 questions to win more that $10,000 before the final Jeopardy. Unfortunately he answered the final Jeopardy question incorrectly, but still had an amazing experience he will always remember fondly. We are so proud of how well he did and how polite and poised he was throughout the show. He represented our family and the state of Georgia extremely well.
