Russel Carlson Joins Carter

ATLANTA (May 24, 2011) – We are pleased to announce that Russel Carlson has joined the firm as a business development associate on our Program Development Services team.

Russel Carlson Russel most recently served as Deputy Chief of Staff and Senior Campaign Advisor to Georgia Lt. Governor Casey Cagle.  At the capitol, Russel was a core member of all legislative, budgetary, communications and political strategy teams for the Lt. Governor.  As the External Affairs Officer for the Lt. Governor, Russel served as the lead point of contact for local elected officials and community leaders across the state, assisting them with various permitting and budget needs, as well as general facilitation and consultation with all state agencies. Russel’s depth of political experience enables him to effectively lead teams to successful project completion.

Russel is a great asset to our K-12 Program Development Services team and he will be instrumental in continuing to grow our business unit as a top-tier educational program management firm in the southeast.

Russel graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice. He is active in the Atlanta community and has volunteered for the Ronald McDonald House, Cathedral of St. Philip and The Church of the Holy Comforter.
