Cushman & Wakefield Tuesday announced that the commercial real estate services firm has arranged $25 million in construction financing on behalf of Branch Properties for the development of Summerhill Station, a new 87,083 square-foot retail center located in Atlanta.
“Branch has already received tremendous tenant demand at Summerhill Station, which will provide a critical grocery-anchored retail center in the heart of Summerhill,” Henry said in a press release.
Summerhill Station will be comprised of four buildings anchored by a 50,012 square-foot Publix. Construction is slated to begin before the end of the year with estimated completion in early 2023.
Located at 26 Georgia Avenue SE, Summerhill Station is situated within Atlanta’s Summerhill neighborhood, which is undergoing significant transformation due to Georgia State University’s expansion including the repurposing of the former Turner Field into the university’s football stadium, the new construction of the baseball stadium and basketball arena, and the addition of more than 1,000 newly-constructed residential units.
