Carter assists YMCA with metro-planning and creating a blueprint for growth
The Atlanta YMCA routinely conducts 10-year strategic plans to reassess organizational priorities and plan for the upcoming decade. Carter conducted the most recent strategic plan with a multi-pronged approach.
The first phase included understanding the current needs of the community and the Y, as well as identifying new opportunities for growth both within and outside the Metro Atlanta YMCA’s current footprint.
Second, the team developed a blueprint for the YMCA’s growth over the next decade; this included new growth opportunities for all 17 YMCA locations in the Metro Atlanta area. Third, the team reviewed the current organizational structure, suggested modifications and provided recommendations for improving the process. The fourth phase aligned the YMCA’s branding and marketing approach with its chosen growth strategies. This included a growth forecast for existing or new facilities and opportunities to meet these goals.
The end result was a customized 2020 strategic plan that the Metro Y rolled out throughout all of its 17 locations.
