University of Louisiana Lafayette Football Stadium
Carter served as program/project manager for the expansion of Cajun Field, continuing an ongoing relationship with UL Lafayette.
UL is renowned for the enthusiastic support of the Ragin’ Cajuns and, as such, could not accomodate the exisiting fan base for home games. In response, the university and their associated foundation embarked on an expansion that will increase the experience for fans and players. Carter served as program manager for the expansion of Cajun Field, UL Lafayette’s football stadium. The expansion includes 5,900 seats as part of a newly-enclosed south end zone. It also includes 13,000 sf in concessions, restrooms, and a camera/television platform. The expansion of Cajun Field was completed in less than four months.
UL contributes on-field success to a supportive and engaging fan base. The football team won the Sun Belt Conference title and played in and won a third consecutive bowl game during the 2013-14 season. The expansion allows UL to continue their football legacy, attracting and maintaining top student athletes, while also catering to loyal fans.
