UGA Carlton Street Deck
United Way selected Carter to evaluate the real estate potential of its adjacent property for thepossible use of parking, office, retail and/or conference facilities. In completing a feasibility study, Carter focused on the market demand for the various alternatives, analyzed the possible uses for the site, and developed a master plan that reflected United Way’s present and future needs. To address the need for additional parking, Carter led the construction of a deck for 850 cars. In addition, on-site parking for 150 cars was designed to allow for future development of office and conference facilities. Carter used the fast-track team concept to complete the design and construction of the 300,000-square-foot deck on budget and on time.
