Georgia Rebound

State of Georgia

As part of the Governor’s “Georgia Rebound Program” to stimulate the state economy in 1993, the Georgia Board of Regents elected to build additional educational facilities at four different state universities. Carter was selected as program manager through a competitive process.

The projects included three science facilities: a Manufacturing-Related Disciplines Complex at Georgia Tech, and Allied Health Buildings at Kennesaw State and Darton College. At the University of Georgia, Carter managed the design and construction of a $36.5 million Performing Arts Complex. The remaining four projects included new classroom and theater buildings at four separate colleges/universities.

Design and construction of all eight projects proceeded simultaneously on a fast-track basis.
