Carter was selected to provide program management for a new multipurpose events center and the renovation of an existing convention hall. By 2011 this contract was expanded to include the management of all construction activities for the project.
The Enid Renaissance project includes the construction of a new multipurpose events center, as well as full-service renovations to an existing convention hall. The event center includes 75,000 square feet to accommodate 3,800 in seating capacity; the main floor will be set for exhibit/concert stages with a 6,000 square foot area built-out for food concessions and the second floor will house hospitality suites.
The project included the renovation of a nearly 100-year old building structure utilized as a convention hall. Comprised of 55,000 square feet, this four-level hall includes a large ballroom stage, a smaller ballroom area on the second floor and meeting rooms and offices throughout the rest of the building.
Carter’s leadership on a project of this size for the City of Enid speaks volume’s to Carter’s level of expertise and established comfort level when working within the public sector of city government, administration and public officials.
