Augusta State Student Housing
The students enrolling in Augusta State University are increasingly more traditional and the need for university housing became a necessity. Because the university had never offered university student housing, Carter was tasked with serving as the owner’s representatives to provide a full range of services, including acquisition of a market study and programming, developer selection, financial analysis, and design and construction management. The $14.5 million, 500-bed project includes private apartments that feature four bedrooms and two bathrooms, with a full kitchen and living room in each residence. A few of the amenities offered to the residents include security systems in each suite, washer and dryer facilities, a computer lab, a pool clubhouse, a volleyball court, and surface parking for residents. Construction for the project completed on time and under budget.
