Founded in 1958, Carter is the Southeast's oldest and largest privately held full-service commercial real estate firm. 2008
Celebrates its 50th anniversary.

2007
Selected to develop the Banks, a $600 million mixed-use project in Cincinnati, Ohio;
Established Carter Real Estate Fund II.

2006
Awarded interiors project management for the American Cancer Society and Newell Rubbermaid; Signed lease with Piedmont Healthcare for Carter's Piedmont West development.

2005
Ranked #2 office developer in the U.S. by NREI; Joe Terrell joins Transaction Services group.

2004
Carter selected to manage and lease the office portion of Atlantic Station, Atlanta's largest mixed-use project, in addition to providing project management services.

2003
NAIOP NAIOP Developer of the Year for Atlanta chapter; #1-ranked Atlanta office developer by Atlanta Business Chronicle; #9-ranked developer in the U.S. by NREI; ranked among top 10 firms in property management and brokerage in Atlanta.

Bob Peterson named President/CEO and heads Carter Transaction and Corporate Services
