Michael is responsible for oversight of all day-to-day information technology operations as well as IT systems and processes at Carter.
Michael Benton joined Carter in 2006 as an accountant where he assisted in administration of various accounting software. In 2010, he transitioned over to the IT department where he worked as database administrator and quickly moved on to become the system administrator where he was instrumental in transitioning Carter to a clouded IT infrastructure. As director of IT, Michael is responsible for the day-to-day operations as well as the strategic planning for the company’s IT infrastructure and services.
Prior to joining Carter, Michael was a senior accountant with Place Properties. Here, he was responsible for the monthly preparation and close of all financials as well as the annual year-end audit for several student housing properties. Michael assisted in troubleshooting issues with the accounting software database as well as report designing and security maintenance for the software.
