Hodge works in a variety of roles for Carter’s acquisition and investment reporting team, including underwriting new opportunities and analyzing the financial performance of assets.
Hodge joined the Carter team in May of 2012. In his current role as Accounting Manager, he is responsible for accounting and financial reporting for mixed-use, multi-family and purpose-built student housing investment assets in the portfolio. Additionally, Hodge coordinates the transition of financial reporting from development to operations, and manages the preparation of budgets, variance analysis and forecasting. Hodge also plays an active role with underwriting Carter’s acquisitions.
Prior to joining Carter, Hodge worked at Governors Towne Club Development, Inc., a real estate development focused primarily on master-planned residential developments with golf course and resort style amenities. He held multiple positions there including Controller, COO and CFO. He was responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting and finance related to real estate development, real estate sales, and golf club assets.
Hodge is a licensed Real Estate Broker in Georgia and Indiana and has over 22 years of experience in the real estate industry. He serves as a Member of the Board of Zoning Appeals for the City of Milton, Georgia and is the President of his neighborhood homeowner’s association.
Hodge is Hoosier native and has called Milton, Georgia home for the past sixteen years with his wife Mauri and thirteen-year-old son Devin. In their spare time, they enjoy attending Notre Dame football games, traveling and playing golf.
