With more than 25 years of experience in finance, accounting and strategic planning, Gil oversees all accounting and financial activities for Carter.
Gil joined Carter in 2011 as the senior controller for Carter’s operations; he was promoted to senior vice president in 2012. Within less than a year, in 2013, Carter announced his continued advancement to chief financial officer. His background includes significant experience with real estate investments and developments, specifically in the areas of residential and resort properties.
Prior to joining Carter, Gil held the position of CFO at the Settings Development Company and was a partner, COO and CFO at Briar Rose Land Company, Inc. He has also worked with several real estate developers, and served as a business instructor for the PGA of America’s Education Department for 10 years.
He has extensive knowledge of accounting, finance, strategic planning, development and operations as they relate to the residential real estate and club industries. Gil serves as a leader on Carter’s Operations Team where he continually strives to drive organizational change and process improvements for Carter’s finance, human resources and accounting operations.
Gil is married with 2 children in college. His hobbies include golf and fishing in his free time.
