Atlanta Business Chronicle | Ponce City Market brands join the MET in southwest Atlanta
Two retail brands from Ponce City Market will open new workspaces at a big adaptive reuse project in southwest Atlanta.
Leather goods brand KMM & Co. and accessory and apparel brand In God We Must have signed leases at “The Met,” developer Carter’s 1.1 million-square-foot redevelopment of a former cotton warehouse along Metropolitan Parkway and near the West End MARTA station.
“The warehouse property gives off such a strong sense of authenticity and the local Atlanta community coming together, whether through business, art or ideas,” Marcus Orfield with KMM said in an announcement.
In God We Must, a brand now found in Ponce City Market’s Citizen Supply marketplace, will expand with a new location at The Met. It will take 1,070 square feet, allowing for much of its apparel, jewelry, leather goods and candles to be made, sold and shipped from the space.
“We knew it would be the perfect place for us to expand,” said John Elija Richards, founder of In God We Must, which began as an online retailer. “We have an opportunity to join forces with other tenants, host workshops, sell merchandise and fulfill orders.”
