Construction Update: Lake Wire

Lake Wire mixed-use development under construction in the heart of downtown Lakeland to start welcoming retail patrons and residents in 2024.

UNDER CONSTRUCTION - Lakeland, Florida

Carter is developing Lake Wire, a 22 acre mixed-use development consisting of 630 multifamily residential units and 30,000 square feet of retail space. Located in Lakeland, Florida, the first phase - which includes 300 multifamily residential units and 15,000 square-feet of retail space – is under construction and planned to deliver the first units in late spring 2024. The Preston Partnership is the architect, and DeAngelis Diamond is the general contractor.

The project is currently working through the Florida Green Building Certification process and is targeting to reach silver-level certification.

The residential community, which will be named Prospect Lake Wire, comprises one-, two-, and three-bedroom options, all with modern high-end finishes. Residents will have access to an outdoor swimming pool, a fenced dog park and dedicated pet grooming station, two outdoor kitchen and entertainment areas, a fitness center, and other amenities.

The new mixed-use development, a joint venture with Hunt Companies, Inc., is adjacent to Lakeland’s new privately funded 168-acre Bonnet Springs Park. Lake Wire will be the first major development project following the park’s opening in Lakeland’s burgeoning Downtown West corridor.
