ABOUT THE PROJECT

Carter developed a 753-bed student housing project located less than two miles from the University of Mississippi campus and Oxford’s historic town square. The mixed-use development consists of cottages, flats and townhomes spread across 60 acres. Highland Square features a town square with roughly 15,000 square feet of amenity space and a clubhouse. Boasting a diverse mix of floorplans, each unit type offers private bathrooms for every bedroom, gourmet kitchens with granite countertops, custom cabinetry and stainless steel appliances, expansive living areas, hardwood-style flooring, and ample closet and storage space. The units also include full-size washers and dryers, as well as balconies or porches overlooking the town square, pools or manicured grounds. Additionally, the community features a coffee shop, tanning facilities, study/printing lounge, media/theater center, car wash, dog park, volleyball, fitness trails and three resort-style pools.

Highland Square is a progressive project in the multi-family industry that has transformed the student-housing experience by creating a unique urban environment. It is designed to provide a high-quality and amenity-rich living community for students as the University of Mississippi experiences record-breaking enrollment. The development was completed in August 2013 and sold by Carter in 2014.
