ABOUT THE PROJECT

The first phase of Piedmont West includes a 10-story building with 264,000 square feet of Class A medical office and ground-level retail space, and an on-site parking garage with 1,084 spaces. It is strategically located on 7.3 acres at the corner of Howell Mill Road and I-75, and a key part of the emerging Howell Mill market center near both Midtown and Buckhead. The building was designed to green standards and achieved ENERGY STAR designation. It won the 2012 TOBY Award from the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of Atlanta as well as Medical Office Building of the Year by 2012 International TOBY Award from BOMA International; these awards recognize properties that exemplify superior building quality and management practices on a local and national level.

Piedmont Hospital leases over 135,000 square feet of the building and operates Piedmont Healthcare’s Cancer Center, Piedmont Surgery Center, Piedmont Radiology Imaging Services, and Piedmont Radiation and Oncology practices from Piedmont West. Other large tenants include Jenkins Clinic of Urology and the American Diabetes Association.

Carter owned and managed the asset providing both leasing and property management services until it was sold in June of 2013 at over 90% leased.
